About the American Safety and Health Institute and the Health and Safety Institute 
a. The American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) CPR, AED, and First Aid training programs are developed and administered by the Health and Safety Institute (HSI) 
b. HSI is a major U.S. CPR, first aid, emergency medical and safety training organization. ASHI CPR, AED, and First Aid training programs are equivalent to the CPR, AED, and First Aid training programs developed and administered by the American Heart Association,® Inc. (AHA) and the American National Red Cross (ARC). 
c. An HSI representative was a volunteer member of the 2015 International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) First Aid Task Force and a collaborator on the 2015 International Consensus on First Aid Science with Treatment Recommendations. 

ASHI CPR, AED, and First Aid Training Programs are Current5, Evidence-Based, and Conform to the:

ASHI CPR, AED, and First Aid Training Programs Are Taught By Qualified Instructors Affiliated With an Approved Training Center and Are Authorized To Certify Course Participants 
a. ASHI does not offer, recognize, or accept any online-only layperson BLS/CPR certification. Certification of participants requires face-to-face evaluation of hands-on skills by an authorized instructor to verify skill competency. 
b. HSI publishes and administers a set of Quality Assurance Standards designed to monitor and improve the performance of HSI, it’s approved ASHI Training Centers and Authorized Instructors so that the products and services provided meet or exceed the requirements of employers, regulatory authorities, and other approvers.
